Our Most Popular Workshops

Manage Food Allergy Anxiety

This workshop provides valuable strategies to skillfully navigate anxiety when it arises. We will guide you through a practical 3-step plan designed to empower you in managing anxiety. This includes honing the ability to recognize and acknowledge anxiety, fostering a transformative shift in your experience of anxiety, and developing tools for mindful responsiveness. By the end, you'll be equipped not only to understand anxiety but also to proactively respond to it with intention and skill.

Build Your Anxiety Management Toolbox

This workshop delves into the art of self-soothing and will help you construct a comprehensive toolbox of anxiety management skills. Skills are categorized into three categories: calm your body, manage your mind, and engage in valued actions. Within each category, you will learn and practice evidence-based and actionable strategies and develop your own personalized Anxiety Action Plan. Get ready to cultivate practical skills that will empower you to more proactively manage anxiety.

Coach Your Child to Manage Anxiety

In this workshop, we dive into effective strategies and practical techniques to empower both parents and children in navigating the emotional challenges associated with food allergies. Parents and caregivers will learn to manage their own emotions first so they can show up with calm and presence to help their child. We will build upon your understanding of what kids are experiencing and what they need when they are anxious and overwhelmed and learn skills for connecting with them and coaching them. You’ll leave feeling better equipped to manage the complexities of food allergy anxiety with skill, confidence and resilience.

Navigating Food Allergy Independence

This workshop assists young adults learning to manage food allergies independently. We'll explore common challenges including living on your own, handling social situations, dating and relationships, and adapting to college life. You will strengthen skills related to self-acceptance and trust, boundary setting, and effective communication and advocacy. Our workshop promotes resilience and self-reliance, providing young adults with the necessary tools to confidently navigate the emotional complexities of food allergies.

Foundational Practices for Emotional Health

This workshop emphasizes the importance of understanding and strengthening the foundations of emotional health and wellness including ample sleep, a balanced diet, regular movement/exercise, and strong social connections. Enhancing these elements leads to an increase in our flexibility, adaptability, and resilience. These qualities are essential in helping us manage the various stressors and adversities we encounter in our daily lives. In turn, this enables us to handle the emotional challenges of living with food allergies with increased confidence and skill.

Coping with Stress & Burnout

Stress is an inevitable part of life with food allergies and helps us respond to challenges and demands. When managed effectively, stress can be a positive force that enables us to take necessary actions and navigate complexity with skill. In this workshop, you will learn about stress and burnout, as well as concrete strategies to cope with and manage them. We will discuss the differences between acute and chronic stress, transform our perceptions of stress, create a plan to reduce or modify stressors, and understand how to complete the stress cycle.
