WORK WITH DR. ELIZABETH

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is appropriate for the clinical treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns related to food allergies. This includes the trauma that can follow severe reactions or medical emergencies, and OCD when it manifests through food allergy safety behaviors. As a licensed psychologist, I provide diagnostic assessment and evidence-based treatment tailored to your specific clinical needs.

My individual therapy caseload is currently full. I maintain a small waitlist and prioritize returning clients and specific clinical needs. Small therapy groups may also be available depending on your location and needs, visit the Group Therapy page for details. Courses are an option for on-demand support available immediately.

Therapeutic Orientation

Every person's experience with food allergy anxiety, OCD, or trauma is different, so my approach is never one-size-fits-all. I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities and tailor the combination to what actually helps you. Influences on my clinical work include:

• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT)

• Internal Family Systems (IFS)

• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

• Attachment & Interpersonal Neurobiology

• Gottman Method

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider with most health insurance plans. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can submit claims to your insurance on your behalf and you would be responsible for any co-payment or non-covered amount at the time of service.

Coverage varies significantly between plans, I recommend contacting your insurance company before our first appointment to understand your benefits. The CPT codes typically used are:

90791: Initial diagnostic evaluation

90837: 53+ minute individual psychotherapy session

Ask whether you have an out-of-network deductible that needs to be met, what amount they reimburse for therapy with a licensed psychologist after the deductible is met, and how many sessions per year are covered.

Fees

Individual therapy sessions are $250. The initial diagnostic intake assessment is $300. Sessions are typically 50-55 minutes and scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. Extended or more intensive sessions can be arranged on a prorated basis. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted. Reduced fees are available on a limited basis.

Licensing & Location

All therapy is conducted via telehealth on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. I am licensed in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, and hold authority for interjurisdictional telehealth in PSYPACT states which include all US states except California, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and New York.
